Golf club grips are the rubber or synthetic coverings on the handle of your clubs. They provide traction, comfort, and control during your swing.

Grips are your only point of contact with the club. Worn or incorrect grips can affect your control, consistency, and overall performance.

If you play regularly, grips should be replaced every 40–60 rounds or at least once a year. If they feel slick or worn, it’s time to change them.

Signs your grips need replacing:

• Smooth or shiny surface

• Loss of traction

• Cracks or hardening

• You’re gripping tighter than usual

Grip size depends on your hand size:

• Standard – most golfers

• Midsize – larger hands or reduced grip pressure

• Oversize (Jumbo) – maximum comfort and stability

The right size helps improve control and reduce tension.

Yes, thicker grips can reduce excessive hand action, which may help minimise hooks or slices for some golfers.
